Head Coach - Jeff Jaramillo

Jeff started playing hockey when he was 12 years old.   He played on foot,  roller-blades and ice.  There were about 25 kids within a couple blocks that played together which was very unique for a Utah neighborhood.

He played rec league,  travel and high school.  He spent his youth on the ice 6-7 days a week.   He then went on to play for UVU.  He played defense when he was young but played forward from high school on.  He ran and played on a men's league team called the Rockstars up at Steiner for several years.

He has coached youth football, lacrosse and hockey for many years.   It's his favorite thing to do with his time away from home.   He loves running into players that he coached that now have their own kids and they greet him with a hug and call him coach.

He is a USA Hockey level 4 coach.  He started coaching at Mountain View High School in 1998.  He coached a youth travel team from 1999 to 2003.  He coached the Grizzly AAA midget team in 2004 and 2005.  He took a break and started coaching his sons in 2010 for 4 years.

He was also a referee for many years and helped coach many hockey camps as well.

He is very excited to take on the HC position for the Alta Hawks hockey program.

Todd Jaramillo

Born in California and raised in Utah, Todd Jaramillo has had a love for hockey since the age of 7.  Hockey was foreign to him until his next door neighbors moved to New York and returned a year later with hockey in their blood.  Todd and his older brother Jeff, along with what seems like 90% of the neighborhood boys, began playing hockey non-stop, whether it was on or off the ice.
He began his career playing in the Timpanogos Amateur Hockey Association at the Utah Lake Ice Rink. As he grew older he began playing on the TAHA travel teams and eventually played for the Utah Stars his sophomore and junior years of high school He play for the WMAHA Grizzlies his senior year of high school.
He played for Timpanogos High School in Orem, UT his freshman through senior years where he was part of the state championship team his senior year in 2005.  After high school he played for the Provo Ice Cats for one semester before serving as a church missionary for 2 years.  After that experience he played another two years for the Brigham Young University ACHA club team.
He is excited to help coach and hopes to be a positive influence in the life of each team member.  He absolutely loves the sport and feels blessed to have it as such a huge part of his life.
Todd now practices as a podiatrist in Utah County where he lives with his family.
